With a background in cognitive science, linguistics, and human development, I have a background in mixed method research. I started my career in academic research, studying how people learn in informal education environments, specifically science museums! Beyond research, I have extensive experience managing projects and running programs.
I've leveraged my years of research experience to work with product teams to develop products with the end user experience in mind. My experience spans the research spectrum - from generative to evaluative projects. I've worked both in consulting and on the client side. My passion is design research and helping teams create designs that are usable (and delightful) for their intended users. But I love the partnerships that I make with various teams to help them make data-driven and research-based decisions.
My super powers include:
-
Attention to detail
-
Building partnerships and getting stakeholder buy-in
-
Can-do attitude and perseverance, unafraid to pioneer some new process or try something new to get it done
-
Love for organization, making moving parts fit together, and bringing order to chaos
-
Leveraging the strengths of others
-
Workshop facilitation
When I'm not working, you can probably catch me running on the streets of Chicago 🏃🏻♀️ (I'm a 5x half marathoner, 1st marathon coming January 2026) , walking my rescue dog named Stroopwafel all over the city 🐾, experimenting with some new recipe in the kitchen 👩🏻🍳, or tending to one of my (too) many plants 🪴.
