Ashley's background is in research. She's applied her research skills in the agency setting, working with a number of clients on a variety of different products, acting as consultant and research partner to various companies and teams.

In-house, she has partnered closely with product managers and designers to identify user problems and empathize with the user experience, create solutions, and monitor and learn to iterate after launch. Currently, she works on the digital experiences at Target, including bottom of funnel and fulfillment.

She has also helped to train UX research consultants on key research project skills like notetaking and moderation for UX and Human Factors studies across consumer and healthcare research. Her role has included individual coaching for researchers to further enable quality project execution and leading/overseeing research projects.

Ashley is a mixed methods researcher. She has experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, as well as conducting remote and in-person, moderated and unmoderated research.

To Ashley, good research is useful and usable. If it's not being used or not understood, it's almost no different than doing no research at all.
